Named after the Monks Cowl outcrop on the nearby mountain range, the Monks Cowl Country Club offers the chance to play its scenic golf course against wonderful views of the Drakensberg. Started in 1973, the club now numbers around sixty members. The course is 9 holes, with 18 tees. It is generally level and the 5th hole, witch crosses the deep gorge at Hattingspruit, is accessed by a swing bridge. The fairways are planted with Kikuyu, and the greens with Cynodon dactylon.

within walking distance of the Clubhouse and all its facilities. The

style club house with its warm and friendly ambiance has panoramic views
over the golf course from the attractive verandah area. The club house
provides a substantive lounge incorporating the golf registration area and
the bar.
