Moor Park Nature Reserve offers interesting trails and bird watching. On Makhabeni hill overlooking Moor Park is one of the oldest iron age sites in KwaZulu-Natal dating back to AD 1300 and on the southern side of the dam are large fossil beds with many fossilized trees lying exposed on the surface of the ground.
There
is no accommodation facilities at Moor Park Nature Reserve. A day permit
is required at the gate and beautifully cared for picnic sites are to be
found along the Bushmans River
